What is counselling ?
We all experience emotional difficulties or distress during our lives: stress, loss, depression, bereavement, emptiness, lack of purpose or direction, and feeling uncertain or overwhelmed.
Often we have the resources to cope, however, sometimes the issues are hard to deal with by ourselves or with the help of friends and family.
Counselling offers a calm, confidential space in which a trained counsellor can help you explore your individual issues with warmth, acceptance, empathy and respect.
Counselling is about listening to you without judgement, creating a safe place for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. It creates a greater sense of awareness and allows you to find new ways to resolve your difficulties and new ways of coping, creating more choice and a greater sense of efficacy, self confidence and autonomy.
